There are two major components of the 1:1 initiative at the middle school and high school:
Parent Informational Session and the Student Boot-Camp.
Elementary classrooms will utilize iPads within the classroom and the teachers with support from the Technology Committee will provide lessons regarding digital citizenship.

Students under 13 years of age will also need their parents to read and sign (Oelwein Google AUP) before they can be assigned an Email address and Google Apps account:
Students in grades 7-8 will renew their 1:1 and AUP policy during class in the first few days of school
Students in grades 10-12 may print and bring in their signed 1:1 Policy and Acceptable Use Policy signature page on the first day of school and will receive their laptops in their homerooms.

•6th grade, 9th grade, and new students as well as their parents will participate in presentation regarding: reasons for being a 1:1 environment, laptop care information, Internet safety, our Acceptable Use Policy, a parent's guide to going 1:1, and a Frequently Asked Question session. At the end, there will also be a short time for an interactive question/answer session followed by time to complete the forms.
•The parent informational session will be videotaped. Parents who do not attend these sessions must make arrangements to come into school to watch the training with technology personnel.
Student Boot-Camp
•Students will not receive their computers unless all parental documentation is received. The following presentation will be used in the school day to familiarize students regarding their MacBook:
- Students will begin MacBook training in their homerooms.
- 1:1 Laptop guide and the Acceptable Use Policy will be discussed.
- Digital Citizenship: Students will learn how to be safe and ethical online, as well as how to create a positive digital footprint.
- G-mail and Google Drive: Assist the students with their email and accessing their Google Drive.
- Equipment Information: Productivity software on the MacBooks (stickies, notes, and reminders)
- Continue training on Internet Safety, Digital Literacy and other software the first few weeks of school.
